Waverunner Rental FAQ

What is required for a rental?

Valid driver’s license and a deposit on credit card.

How old do I have to be to rent a waverunner?

You must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.

Do I need a boating license?

If you are born after Jan 1, 1984 you are required to have a boating license to operate a boat or PWC on Missouri waterways. You can go online to https://www.boat-ed.com/ to take the test.

Just boating for the week? A one time, temporary 7 day certificate is available online.  Save time at check in by completing prior to arrival. You can go online to https://www.boat-ed.com/missourirental/sign-up/ to complete the temporary license for a fee of $9.00

How much is the security deposit?

A $300.00 security deposit is required per waverunner rental.   Deposits are authorized to your credit or debit card prior to departure and released upon return of the waverunner without any damages. A pending authorization, also known as an authorization hold, is a temporary hold on funds that verifies they are available to process an order without actually charging the card.  Authorization releases usually take 7 days for the pending to drop off of your account, but vary by merchant and bank.

Waverunners will be thoroughly inspected before departure and upon return.  Any rental that is damaged will result in forfeit of your security deposit and you are responsible for all additional repair costs for that vessel.

Where can we take the waverunner?

The waverunners can be used in our riding area in front of the Bagnell Dam and  there’s plenty of riding space to keep you entertained. Our waverunners are NOT permitted to privately dock, however switching passengers is allowed at our marina location where our team can assist.  All riders must be present at check in.
